Call for side events for the Public Forum of the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction

Applications for side events (such as symposiums, seminars and workshops), exhibition booths, and poster exhibitions that form a part of the Public Forum of the Third United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction to be held 14-18 March 2015 in Sendai, Japan are now being accepted. The deadline for submission of applications is 16 September 2014.  Learn more about the Public Forum online. The Public Forum will promote a shared responsibility of reducing disaster risk and building resilience. The Public Forum will be held in a number of venues across the city of Sendai and is open to Conference participants and the public. Note: This Public Forum announcement has also been shared with participants of the first session of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom1) of the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.
